I was recently selected to be part of a project which was a Dance4 Collaboration with the Nottingham Contemporary and MA Framework at NTU. The event was a performance piece designed by Nicola Conibere who is a London based choreographer in response to the Jack Goldstein and Anne Collier exhibition which was going on at the same time.
I was selected as part of the creative team and assisted Nicola in creating the vision, overall layout, design and theme of the performance. The event took place on the 26th and 27th of March at the Nottingham Contemporary.
The performance was designed and executed in a very minimalist and contemporary manner with the emphasis on intense lighting and themes which were prevalent in both the artists work. The creative team went through a workshop with Nicola in which we worked on various performance exercises which helped us define and design the movements of the piece.
